ABOUT THE POSITION:

As a Principal Materials Costing Analyst, you will be establishing should-cost structure to enable sustainable, competitive, and predictable costs and drive creation of innovative data analytical solutions that empower and inform cross-functional apparel product creation and sourcing teams to make better and faster decisions to achieve margin expectation.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

  • Partner with broader Liaison office & Raw Material teams to create, implement fact-based product costing standards, to establish should cost structure for predictable, sustainable and competitive cost.

  • Support material cost forecasting process from gathering market intelligence based on macro and micro economic & industry trends to forecasting to help prep HQ team to present to Finance and Commercialization Team and leadership teams.

  • Lead the development of decision-supporting costing tools, costing scorecard as an enabler for optimal sourcing decision to optimize landed cost.

  • Manage the overall raw material costing process, negotiations, calendar adherence, initiate & lead process improvement initiative and system enhancements.

  • Identify cost related risk and initiate mitigation action with internal and external partners. Additionally participate in efficiency improvement projects

YOU HAVE:

  • Possess strong working knowledge of textile manufacturing and cost drivers

  • College degree in textiles, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or related experience

  • 8 or more years’ experience in textile engineering, development and or marketing

  • Proficient in Excel and analytical skills

  • Requires an ability to read, write, and speak English, within daily activities and ability to communicate with vendors and global employees

  • Ability to work well with individuals of different countries and cultures.

  • Understands ambiguity and can work in an evolving environment.

  • Ability to deal with work and time pressures to accomplish job requirements in an efficient and effective manner.

  • Role may require 40+ hours per week. Attendance at evening/weekend meetings may be required.

  • Position may require occasional international travel.
